I would like to register with Chefs4Chefs. What do I need to do? 

You can register as a freelance chef with Chefs4Chefs through this page. Fill in your details and upload your CV with photo and we will contact you as soon as possible for an intake interview. 

If there is a mutual click, we will confirm this by email and ask for some additional documents that we need to draw up a framework agreement. This agreement sets out how we will work together, the terms and conditions, the (minimum) rates you will work for, and the expenses for which you will be reimbursed. Chefs4Chefs values a good working relationship, and we therefore also expect you to conduct yourself as a good entrepreneur.

How much experience do I need? 

At Chefs4Chefs we do not require a minimum level of experience. What we do require is commitment and passion. We expect you to always do your best to make the most of an assignment.

Once I have registered with Chefs4Chefs, how do I receive assignments? 

You will receive an overview of all the assignments you can apply for on an almost daily basis, and you will also find an overview of your assignments in the app. We operate a first-come, first-served policy for assignments, which means that the first person to apply for an assignment gets it. Is a client specifically looking for your skills? Then we will offer you the assignment directly.

Where can I find all the information about my assignments? 

Once you have applied for a particular assignment and we have confirmed it, you will receive an email notification. You will also see the confirmation in the app. The confirmation will contain all the information you need about the assignment, such as what time you are expected, who you need to report to, what you need to bring, and where you can park if necessary.

Where can I find a timesheet? 

The timesheet has been replaced by an app, enabling you to log your shifts digitally. In an emergency, you can download a timesheet.

Is there a minimum number of hours per shift?

Yes, the minimum is 7 hours per assignment. Occasionally this will be lower, for example if it is an urgent assignment.

What payment period does Chefs4Chefs apply?

Chefs4Chefs applies a payment period of 28 days from the invoice date, unless otherwise agreed in the framework agreement. The payment terms and conditions are set out in our general Terms and Conditions.

Can I set my own hourly rate? 

Chefs4Chefs pays its chefs in line with the market and the hourly rate is agreed in advance for each assignment. By accepting the assignment, you accept the hourly rate.

For the conclusion of the agreement, the selection process, and administration, Chefs4Chefs charges a daily fee in relation to assignments of at least 6 hours. The daily fee will be deducted from your remuneration.

Will I be reimbursed for my travel expenses? 

Yes, your travel expenses will be reimbursed, unless we make other arrangements in advance. For example, we may agree on a maximum number of kilometres, but this will always be stated in the assignment confirmation. We will also indicate whether any parking costs will be reimbursed, so there are no surprises. Will you be travelling by public transport? Then you will also be reimbursed for all travel expenses, unless we agree otherwise.

What is Chefs4Chefs' cancellation policy?

Occasionally, an assignment is cancelled. In case of a cancellation, we will do our best to schedule a replacement assignment for you. We will notify you of cancellations via phone, email, WhatsApp, and the app. Our cancellation policy is included in the general Terms and Conditions and your framework agreement.

How does invoicing work?

All your signed-off shifts are automatically entered into an invoice that we send to ourselves every Monday (reversed billing). You will receive a copy of the invoice and you will be paid 28 days after the invoice date. The Chefs4Chefs general Terms and Conditions apply.
